Project Overview

The problem:

Fashion enthusiasts struggle to find suitable colors for their skin tones and style which impacts confidence and self expression.

The goal:

Help users by suggesting personalized palettes and increase shopping efficiency.

User Personas

Based off interviews with 4 individuals I was able to create the following two personas that well represent the potential users on the app.

User Journey Map

Building off the user personas, I explored the journey of the typical user through the app.

Digital Wireframes

This frame shows the outfit canvas. Users will be able to add items from stores and favorites and save or share with their color season community.

This is the homepage frame. Users will land here after they get their color analysis or take the quiz. It will show community updates as well as updates from the users favorite shops.

Mock-Ups

User Research

Before

Users wanted a better way to select brands for their search.

Instead of having to scroll and select I added a drop down menu where users can select to search by price or their favorite shops.

After

Users wanted to see something more interesting & attention grabbing below the “Community Outfits” section.

Users suggested a sale category so I decided to edit the section to “Favorite Items On Sale”. This will keep users engaged and prompt them to make a purchase for an item they may have wanted.

I updated the “Community Outfits” cards to be distinctly different from the “Sale Items” cards.
